I was reading along group chat today and the topic was using shared media (media on a prim) for webservices .

Bad idea! Very bad indeed!

Say you rez a prim with shared media and login to your email account....and forget about it. Anybody coming along will be able to read your email and send spam (or worse) on your account.

Think about! Now don't do it again! Never ever! Not on a HUD, not on your cool new TV!

More or less. Just don't use shared media in SL. Anything you use an account on in SL can easily be messed with. This includes the Marketplace! We all have web browsers. Use them!

Love For A Light Switch Pt 1

This story begins around August of 2010. I was in a clan called The Secrets Of Darkness (formerly DSH). I was born a vampire into this clan and it was a very nice clan. I loved almost everyone in it. Of course like all familys or clans there are a couple of people that you just can't get along with. Well I had found myself inside this vicious circle of bullshit and wanted to protect the one I was in love with at the time. Because of all of this I was blamed for being a drama starter and was booted out. I was lost. I went to a friend named Morag and talked to her. She also had been in S.O.D. but had also been kicked out for other reasons which I will not put here. I decided to join her clan. While in her clan I met Mig. He came into the clan chat upset about a prior relationship ending or something and something just wanted me to reach out to him since I was going through a similar situation. Me and him both started talking and we just clicked. There was just something there. We both felt it, but we weren't sure about what it was at the time. Our conversations continued and then we just got closer and closer. We started dating in SL. It was going good for a while and I felt us getting closer. I thought everything was going well for what we had. Then he had found someone else and left me. I was hurt. I was devistated. I really didn't know what to think and more or less wrote him off as a player, and that he really never gave a shit and decided to hate him for it. For a while I did hate him. His name disgusted me, and when I saw him I'd leave the area.

One day I happened to be very very bored. I got so bored that I did a search for him in the SL search (at the time we weren't even friends. we had defriended each other). I found him and said "Hi". I wasn't really expecting a reply, but he did. He and I started talking a little. Every minute that went by was hard not to say something bitchy. I really hated him at this point and the reason I said hi was just to see what his reaction would be. At this point he was with this girl named Mysti (not full name. I won't give it.). He and her were together for a while and they seemed like a good couple. At first this just made me that much more angry and then it started hurting. I had remembered what I had felt before. Although I still hated him I went with it to see where this would take me. Eventually he and Mysti split up for whatever reasons. Claimed they just couldn't be anymore due to age differences or some shit.. I have no idea. A little later we grew back together again.

Will continue later. I have to leave irl.

Sucking In The Artificial Air...

This post is really to clear some things. I've done some talking with people that care about me and I've also done some thinking. From this point on I will be online less frequently or at least afk more often. Its time to make myself more real. I'll explain why.

People I've met tend to tell me "SL is my escape from reality." well to a point this can be "true", but more so it is a crutch for those who can not face their reality.
